Four years ago, Gabi Ruffels dreamt of qualifying for the US Open. Today, she lived out that dream – with one major twist.
She qualified for the 2019 Women's US Open Golf Championship, not the US Open Tennis Championship she had been dreaming of playing.
Gabi has only been playing golf just over 4 years and her steady rise in the game over in this time has been nothing short of remarkable. Gabi has a big month ahead playing college golf for USC with both Regionals and the National Championship coming up before her US Open debut.
Gabi has also received an invitation to compete on the Japanese women’s tour at the Ai Miyazato Suntory Ladies Open in mid-June in Hyogo, so you could say a very exciting month ahead.
We wish Gabi all the best and look forward to keeping you all updated on her progress.
