Over the past 5yrs of coming back to playing golf after a 10yr break with a severe back injury, I must admit my relationship with the game hasn't always been a healthy one! But I'm sure you know exactly what I mean by that as the game of golf beats up on nearly everyone that plays the game at one stage or another.
Over the past six months, I feel like I have gotten back that love for the game again, enjoying playing with mates and the banter, social side of the game has been a great balancer for the stress and pressures of life outside the golf course.
Being able to spend the past six weeks back home here in Melbourne has allowed me to play a little more but also do a little work on my own game and, for the 1st time in nearly 15 years, been able to activate a competitive mindset within my own game. This has been super fun, rewarding, but also challenging. I know the journey I am embarking on to lower my handicap in 2020 is a journey that a lot of you are on. I thought I might to a Video Blog on how I am focusing on creating a healthy relationship with competition again and the strategies I will employ as Mid Handicap Club golfer trying to shave strokes off my handicap.
I would love to hear your feedback or questions/content you would be interested in me discussing during these Video Blogs to help you increase your enjoyment for the game while decreasing your handicap.
